I am Pásztor Anikó, and I have been working in healthcare for 30 years. I completed my surgical assistant training at Semmelweis University in 1995. I began my career in the Central Operating Room of Csepel Hospital, where I had the opportunity to discover the effectiveness of laser treatments. This was when I became deeply interested in laser therapies.
I have been working with laser therapies for several years, and in 2021 I successfully passed the Q-Switched ND-Yag Laser Specialist course. I currently apply this knowledge successfully in tattoo removal, toenail fungus treatments, and aesthetic facial procedures.
In 2022, I successfully acquired the knowledge of permanent hair removal with lasers. I currently use permanent hair removal primarily as preoperative therapy to prepare the surgical area. In 2023, I began to focus more intensively on soft laser treatments, which provide a wide spectrum of effective support for patients’ recovery.
Nowadays, we place great emphasis on conservative therapies, and soft laser is an excellent tool for effectively treating many inflammatory conditions. I continuously improve my professional knowledge. In my work, I place significant emphasis on the importance of precise, accurate, and patient-oriented, professional treatments.
My goal is to use my knowledge to help those who seek my assistance in maintaining their health or recovering from existing illnesses.
Is Laser Hair Removal Permanent or Long-lasting?
Laser and Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) hair removal still exists as an unresolved myth in many minds. Some swear by one, others by the other, and some are entirely skeptical of long-lasting hair removal. Opinions are highly divided, but everyone can agree on the emphasis on the word “long-lasting,” as, according to the current standpoint, completely permanent hair removal does not yet exist. So, what is the truth?
Both! Permanent, because the hairs treated in the proper phase with the right energy are destroyed permanently. In other words, the same hair will never grow back. However, it can be considered long-lasting in the sense that living organisms grow new hairs from time to time, resulting in the appearance of new, weaker, and thinner hairs. Effective and long-term hair removal begins with the destruction of the hair follicle, for which one of the most commonly and effectively used methods is the laser light operating on the principle of photothermolysis.

How to Prepare for Laser Hair Removal?
To achieve the desired results, it is necessary to attend a consultation before the treatment, where our expert aesthetic advisors will create a treatment plan tailored to the skin and perform a test flash. The actual treatment begins the following week.
Waxing, plucking with tweezers, and other pulling methods should be avoided for 4-6 weeks before the appointment! Before and during the treatment, hairs can only be removed with a razor or depilatory cream. It is important that the hair is in the growing phase, so the energy emitted by the laser can travel through this “conductor” to reach the hair follicle. Shaving should be done within 24 hours before the treatment.
5-7 days (or in some cases even 2 weeks) before the treatment, strong sunlight exposure and solarium use should be avoided. Additionally, strong sun protection (SPF 50) on the treated areas is strongly recommended one and a half months before the treatment. Strong tanning should be avoided throughout the entire treatment series for more effective procedures. The above durations may vary in individual cases; the treating specialist’s instructions are always the guiding principle.
