Dr. Gergely Vadász
Surgeon, Vascular Surgeon Specialist
Dr. Gergely Vadász was born in 1978 in Mosonmagyaróvár. He completed his secondary school education at the Benedictine Grammar School in Pannonhalma and was admitted to the University of Pécs Medical School in 1997, where he graduated in 2003. He obtained his specialization in surgery in 2010 and in vascular surgery in 2013. He is a proud father of six children.
Between 2003 and 2008, he worked at the Department of General and Vascular Surgery at the Baranya County Hospital in Pécs. In 2008, he moved to Győr to work at the Petz Aladár County Teaching Hospital, initially in the Department of Surgery, and from 2010 onward, in the Department of Vascular Surgery.
Since 2013, he has been a specialist at the Vascular Surgery Clinic of the University of Pécs, Faculty of Health Sciences (PTE-KK). In addition to this, he also served as a vascular surgery consultant at the Siklós Hospital.
In 2014, he began his private practice at the Theta Center in Pécs, and in 2023, he also started working at Theta Pest in Budapest. At the center, he performs ENDOVENOUS varicose vein and hemorrhoid surgeries.
Dr. Vadász was actively involved in the development of the Vascular Limb Preservation App (MEROVA Method), which was launched in 2019. The application aims to simplify the lives of patients and their families, as well as the work of medical professionals and healthcare staff.
He teaches both undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Hungarian and English at the university and has participated as a student and speaker at several distinguished domestic and international conferences (Seoul, South Korea; Krakow, Poland; Hyderabad, India; Paris, France; Bologna, Italy).
He is a member of the Hungarian Surgical Society and the Hungarian Society of Angiology and Vascular Surgery.
