However, in several matters, the adaptation of practical experiences and international thinking to Hungarian conditions is also present.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-1761\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetapest.hu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/vegtagmentes-merova-1024x205.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"205\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.thetapest.hu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/vegtagmentes-merova-1024x205.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.thetapest.hu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/vegtagmentes-merova-300x60.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.thetapest.hu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/vegtagmentes-merova-768x154.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.thetapest.hu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/vegtagmentes-merova-260x52.jpg 260w, https:\/\/www.thetapest.hu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/vegtagmentes-merova-50x10.jpg 50w, https:\/\/www.thetapest.hu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/vegtagmentes-merova-150x30.jpg 150w, https:\/\/www.thetapest.hu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/vegtagmentes-merova.jpg 1500w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The development and systematization of the method is credited to the work of <strong>L\u00e1szl\u00f3 MEcseky, Istv\u00e1n ROzsos, and Gergely VAd\u00e1sz<\/strong> \u2013 the name of the method is also an acronym formed from their last names.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The advantage of the method is that the step-by-step task sequence ensures the possibility of successful limb-saving even for colleagues who are less experienced with the problem, while also helping to inform patients, which is a fundamental condition for long-term success.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Through the application of the MEROVA method, major limb amputations (previously recommended) have become unnecessary in thousands of cases over the past 25 years, thus preserving patients&#8217; mobility and ability to work, allowing them to lead a better quality of life.
